I handle all issues related to or arising out of a divorce, including:
- Co-parenting plans (child custody and visitation). I will help you work out or get custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your children while protecting your rights as a parent. For more information, see my child custody page.
- Child support. Child support in Tennessee is calculated by determining the income of each parent and applying the state guidelines. I will ensure that the guidelines are properly administered and that all income, including self-employment, seasonal and commission income, is correctly considered.
- Spousal support or alimony. I will work with you to determine whether alimony should be granted and, if so, how much should be paid, how often and for how long.
- The division of debts and property. Whether your marital estate is large or small, I can help you equitably divide the debts and assets, including your home and property, investments or bank accounts, retirement plans and business assets.
- Post-judgment requests for modification or enforcement. If your divorce is final, but your circumstances have changed significantly, you can file a motion to have the court review and change the order. Likewise, if your ex-spouse is not abiding by the court's prior ruling, you can use the power of the court, through contempt proceedings, to enforce the terms of the divorce decree.
